Your success in overcoming the challenges you face, depends on practice. The right practice.
Do your work. Practice. Everyday.
Sharpen the sword.
Sharpen your mind.
The decision to contact a therapist is most often made when we are suffering, at a time when frustrating, difficult or painful life experiences threaten to overwhelm us. The decision is a pivotal one, as it represents the beginning of a journey, a process of discovery, growth, release and healing. However, in the context of suffering or pain, the decision can feel daunting as we struggle against the discomfort and resist the change that we believe lies ahead. As we struggle with acceptance.
If you sit at this crossroads, contemplating the next step, afraid, perhaps of the work ahead, of past failures, afraid of future growth, of change, of pain, afraid of the uncertainty, you are not alone. You are also not the first and won’t be the last to feel nervous at the start of this journey. Most importantly, know for certain, that you are not broken. Your decision to contact a therapist is an act of self-compassion. It is an act of acceptance. Acceptance may feel counterintuitive, as you push against the reality of your pain, against the acknowledgement of its presence. And yet, the acceptance of your suffering, of your need for support, is a brave act of kindness, an act that will lead you out of the suffering.
As a therapist, I am committed to supporting you in making your decision to find help, and I am deeply committed to supporting your journey through your process of healing. I offer an initial 30-minute session, without charge, primarily to meet you, and to determine your needs, the nature of your experience, and to unpack your expectations around therapy. During this session, I will outline how I plan to support you in your journey, the tools that I will share with you, and I will describe what you can expect on to find on the path. If you choose to work with me, I will guide on that path, through the pain. This is my commitment to you.

Should you decide to work with me, I will draw on tools and perspectives from several modalities. I have extensive experience in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), eRP (exposure Response Prevention) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I have also developed a number of my own programs and tools, including AMP (Anxiety Management Protocol), ADMP (Attention Deficit Management Protocol), NESSLL audits and the Run-My-Line panic away strategy. The advantage of the Mindforge protocol, is that I adopt a multidisciplinary approach to therapy, which will allow us to assess what is working and what is not, and based on that assessment, we are able to find a clear path to healing, and freedom.
If you are interested in working with me, then please email me, or call me and we can set up an initial session
